Young Women's Chef Academy


Girls ages 12-15 meet on school days out to learn the lost art of cooking from scratch with whole foods. 

The program teaches basic cooking to gourmet dishes. Our focus is to steer girls away from processed foods and provide a basic life skill. 

The program is also preparing many girls for work in the hospitality industry. Cooking skills are just one skill needed to work part-time through school or even pursue a career in food preparation. 

The program teaches girls of varying backgrounds to work together despite differences; how to follow instructions; work ethic; and opens their eyes to foods and customs of different cultures.

This program is funded by the Quincy Breakfast Kiwanis, the Samantha Otte Youth Fund, and local fundraising efforts.
