Racial Justice

Each year, November 13th is named Mix it up Day at Lunch. It is a national movement illustrating to students the social boundaries found within their schools. The project is simple: on November 13th, ask students to venture outside their peer group and sit with people they would not typically sit with at lunch.

The results are astounding. Based on a survey conducted by Quality Education Data, "92% of respondents said Mix It Up at Lunch Day increased awareness about social boundaries and division within school."1
